"It's an upscale epicurean adventure inspired by the rich tastes, textures, aromas, and artwork of the Silk Road," raves Jezebelmagazine. ATLANTA, GA – Michelle Brown-Stafford, Parental Involvement Expert and Prodigy Mom of 14 Year-Old College student and media darling Stephen Stafford, continues to educate parents in a new approach to parental involvement. This month’s workshop, at the YMCA of Carver Villages to be held Saturday, April 23, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., will center on ways for parents to develop and nurture their child’s potential in education; whether a child has been labeled as gifted or struggle in core subjects in school. According to Mrs. Brown-Stafford, potential has no limits and while the classroom may be limited in nature, parents will be provided “keys” to assist teachers in unlocking gifts and talents within their children. In addition, variables which may hinder a child from expressing academic brilliance within the classroom or even as home schoolers will be explored. Parents are expected to come away from the free workshop with a renewed sense of empowerment and solutions that can immediately improve their children’s academic standing. Mrs. Brown-Stafford champions, lectures and teaches parental involvement for a new generation to community/parent groups and has appeared on CNN, Headline News, The Tyra Banks Show, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, NPR as well as other media outlets. Her national workshop tour has now gone global and has scheduled stops in Nassau, Bahamas and London, England. Admittance is free! Date: April 23, 2011
Location: The Villages at Carver Family YMCA
