STILL here in Jackson, GA! I'm going to need Clarence Thomas to give Troy a stay of execution. Stop holding things up, YOU AIN'T GOD!!!

Yeah I said ain't! You all should know by now how I feel about this but if you don't, Troy Davis needs to be given another trial with the new evidence that has come forward within the last few years so he can be released from prison! No evidence, No DNA, No eyewitnesses, 7 of the 9 witness have recanted their statements and said they gave them under duress and were coerced by the police. This is a travesty.

Troy was found guilty of murdering a police officer 19 years ago, based upon the testimony of 9 witnesses. Today, 7 of those 9 have recanted their testimony entirely, and there are enormous problems with the testimony of the remaining 2 witness accounts. There is NO OTHER EVIDENCE. The murder weapon was never found. There is no DNA to test. Troy is scheduled to die by lethal injection on September 21, 2011.

To All:

I want to thank all of you for your efforts and dedication to Human Rights and Human Kindness, in the past year I have experienced such emotion, joy, sadness and never ending faith. It is because of all of you that I am alive today, as I look at my sister Martina I am marveled by the love she has for me and of course I worry about her and her health, but as she tells me she is the eldest and she will not back down from this fight to save my life and prove to the world that I am innocent of this terrible crime.

As I look at my mail from across the globe, from places I have never ever dreamed I would know about and people speaking languages and expressing cultures and religions I could only hope to one day see first hand. I am humbled by the emotion that fills my heart with overwhelming, overflowing Joy. I can’t even explain the insurgence of emotion I feel when I try to express the strength I draw from you all, it compounds my faith and it shows me yet again that this is not a case about the death penalty, this is not a case about Troy Davis, this is a case about Justice and the Human Spirit to see Justice prevail.

I cannot answer all of your letters but I do read them all, I cannot see you all but I can imagine your faces, I cannot hear you speak but your letters take me to the far reaches of the world, I cannot touch you physically but I feel your warmth everyday I exist.

So Thank you and remember I am in a place where execution can only destroy your physical form but because of my faith in God, my family and all of you I have been spiritually free for some time and no matter what happens in the days, weeks to come, this Movement to end the death penalty, to seek true justice, to expose a system that fails to protect the innocent must be accelerated. There are so many more Troy Davis’. This fight to end the death penalty is not won or lost through me but through our strength to move forward and save every innocent person in captivity around the globe. We need to dismantle this Unjust system city by city, state by state and country by country.

I can’t wait to Stand with you, no matter if that is in physical or spiritual form, I will one day be announcing,

“I AM TROY DAVIS, and I AM FREE!”

Davis is set to be executed at 7 p.m. on Sept. 21 for the 1989 murder of Savannah police officer Mark MacPhail.

Amnesty International, New Order National Human Rights Organization, Pres. Jimmy Carter, Al Sharpton, POPE Benedict XVI, Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu, Congressman Bob Barr, Judge William S. Sessions, NAACP, Judge Rosemary Barkett, Congressman John Lewis & Congressman Hank Johnson, singer-songwriter Cee Lo Green, and others are in support of Davis getting a fresh trial with new evidence.

Amnesty International, the NAACP and other organizations are planning to deliver hundreds of thousands of letters and petition signatures to the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles Thursday at 10:30 a.m.

New Order National Human Rights Organization will hold a press conference September 16 at 2 p.m. at the Jimmy Carter Historic Site located on Freedom Parkway to show support for Davis.

Also on Friday, more than a thousand people are expected to participate in a 6:00 p.m. march from Atlanta’s Woodruff Park, led by death row exonerees and the national leaders of AIUSA and NAACP.

7 of 9 prosecution witnesses recanted their trial testimony, & no charge of perjury, no physical evidence links Davis to the crime.

Autopsy results revealed that off-duty Officer McPhal, who Troy was convicted of killing, had cocaine in his system.

No one should be executed when there's clearly reasonable doubt, & a new trial should be set.

I know this phenomenal lady personally and she is not a force to contend or be reckoned with. She speaks her mind and makes NO apologies for her convictions. It is important to have such a person on the Atlanta Board of Education whose agenda will be to educate OUR children, support our teachers, and give OUR children's parents the resources to ensure that their children graduate from high school with more than a pat on the head and a mediocre start to life and college. OMG Aurya is walking!! She took some real steps - check her out!

The above video was taken on August 23rd, we started placing Aurya in positions so that she would attempt to walk. We even bought her those hard white walking shoes (BOY, do those shoes HURT!!) She would stand for a while clapping or dancing (ironic huh? Being that she can’t walk – LOL) All that culminated was an attempt to take a step and then a tumble to the floor.

It took some doing but I updated my resume and there gave my Linkedin account a makeover. I took a couple of classes (continuous education) on resume writing, I will definitely be sharing the information because so much has changed from even when I took the class in college (circa 2004).

It is always good (a necessity even) to have new eyes on anything you write so that the information you are providing is accurate and flows.
